Adding two-factor authentication is one of the most effective ways to protect your EE account. With TOTP support, you can generate EE verification codes directly in the Authenticator App.

EE can send a one-time verification code to your phone via text message.
Once enabled you cannot disable it again. You can only change the phone number you receive the code on.
