2FA methods supported by Microsoft 365 Copilot
Microsoft 365 Copilot offers the following two-factor authentication options to help protect your account.
SMS
Microsoft 365 Copilot can send a one-time verification code to your phone via text message.
Phone call
Microsoft 365 Copilot can call your phone and read out a verification code.
Microsoft 365 Copilot can deliver a one-time verification code to your email address.
Proprietary app
Microsoft 365 Copilot offers its own companion app for approving sign-ins.
Authenticator app (TOTP)
Microsoft 365 Copilot lets you use time-based one-time passwords, so you can generate verification codes in an authenticator app on your device — no network or SMS needed.
